Narrow AI (What We Use Today):#
AI designed for specific tasks. Examples:
- ChatGPT: Text generation and conversation
- Image Recognition: Photo tagging on Facebook
- Game AI: Chess programs, game opponents
General AI (Future Goal):#
AI that can understand and learn any task like humans. This doesn't exist yet, but it's what researchers are working toward.
Generative AI (The New Hotness):#
AI that creates new content:
- Text: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini
- Images: DALL-E, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion
- Code: GitHub Copilot, Code assistants
- Music & Voice: AI composers and voice clones
Key Insight: Most AI today is "narrow" - really good at one thing, but can't do everything. That's why you need different apps for different tasks!
